Direct Loan Closeout for 16/17 Program Year
The deadline for the Direct Loan closeout for 16/17 program year is fast approaching. As part of the DL closeout process, schools will receive ongoing Zero Balance or Remaining Balance emails from COD. When you receive these emails, be sure to forward the emails to Weber via ticket on the support site.
The last processing day of the program year for all data to be received and accepted is July 31, 2018. In order to meet the Department of Education’s deadline, and keep your institution in compliance, please be sure to submit all refunds and students eligible for aid for the 16/17 award year to Weber by June 30, 2018. This will allow Weber time to schedule the aid, submit it to COD, and make sure all disbursements are approved and accepted prior to the deadline.
Pell Closeout for 17/18 Program Year
The deadline for the Pell closeout for the 17/18 program year is also rapidly approaching. As part of the Pell closeout process, schools will receive ongoing Zero Balance or Remaining Balance emails. Be sure to send the emails to Weber via ticket on the support site.
The 2017/2018 Pell award will close on September 28, 2018. After this date, COD will not accept any upward awards or adjustments prior to receiving approval for an extension. Weber can request for the extension, with the approval from the institution, if there are upward awards and/or adjustments needed after September 28, 2018.
In order to meet the Department’s deadline and keep your institution in compliance with the Department of Education, please be sure to submit all Pell refunds and all students eligible for Pell in the 17/18 award year to Weber no later than August 1, 2018.
